Open + Direct secures three local contract deals

Open + Direct Fleet Solutions has recently signed contracts with three local firms to supply and service a range of vehicles including tipper trucks, HGVs and fleet cars.

McKeown Services Group, based at Carryduff, approached Fleet Services Solutions after liking what it saw at the opening of the company’s new premises earlier this year.

Stan McKeown, Managing Director of McKeown Services Group, said: “We found that the service, facilities and prices were very competitive by comparison.

“We needed an extra nine Renault Kango vans after being awarded a cleaning contract for 155 retail premises in Scotland. We decided that contract hiring our vehicles would be very cost-effective and are confident that Fleet Solutions will be able to support our team in Scotland.

“This is essential as we currently operate not only the length and breadth of mainland Scotland, but also cover all of the islands including the Shetlands, Orkneys, Outer Hebrides and Skye.”

Fleet Solutions were recently supplied two Iveco Eurotrakker 6 x 4 tippers to R J Maxwell & Sons Limited in Coleraine. The trucks were supplied as a five-year deal with maintenance included in the contract.

Graham McQuillen, Divisional Director of R J Maxwell & Sons Limited, said: “Open + Direct Fleet Solutions were able to offer us a package, which met all of our requirements and fixed costs which also suited our budget.

“The existence of province wide workshops also helped sell the concept to us.”

Select Telecom, the corporate division of Phone World NI and Dialogic NI, found that their transport needs were growing. Sam McIlwrath, Communications Director, Select Telecom, said they were looking to expand their present fleet of Ford Mondeo cars with Open + Direct and develop their partnership with them in the future.

Open + Direct Solutions, a subsidiary of the Viridian Group, is one of Northern Ireland’s leading multi-franchise contract hire company, providing complete transport solutions and associated financing for a range of business needs. (MB)
