European Shippers Council reveals details of annual conference

The European Shippers Council has published details of this year’s premier event for the freight transport industry, its forthcoming annual conference, Shipper 2001.

The conference, which will be of interest to the shipping community in Northern Ireland, is to be held at the Scandic Hotel in Copenhagen on the October 24 and 25, and will provide an unrivalled opportunity for shippers and service providers to debate the issues of concern to them.

Neil Johnson from the ESC said: “Since it specifically focuses on the shippers’ perspective, this event will be the only one of its type this year and of major importance for both shippers and carriers.

“Shippers will have a chance to discuss and debate the major issues currently confronting the industry while carriers will benefit from an unrivalled opportunity to see what their customers want in the future.”

‘Globalisation of the Transport Market’ will be the over-arching theme of the two days which will be accompanied by an evening reception after the first day’s proceedings. (MB)
