Pensioner Killed In Bus Crash‎

An elderly woman has died after being knocked down by a bus at Wellington Road in Enniskillen.

Kitty Gault, 78, was taken to Erne Hospital following the accident which happened at about 11:30am on Wednesday, she died shortly before 2pm.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

Ballagh Road Closed Following Crash
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a serious road traffic collision in Newcastle, Co Down. The Ballagh Road has been closed and motorists are being advised to avoid the area. Ulster Hospital Installs CT Heart Scanner
The Ulster Hospital in Dundonald have installed a dedicated CT heart scanner to detect heart disease. The scanner takes a 3D image of the heart, which allows physicians to diagnose or rule out disease. Sinn Féin Health spokesperson Pat Sheehan said: "It is great to see this innovative technology being applied in the health service in the north.

Significant Damage Caused During Break-In At Hospital In Ballymena
Significant damage has been caused during a break-in at a hospital in Ballymena. The break-in happened at a building on the grounds of Braid Valley Hospital on the Cushendall Road between 5.30pm on Wednesday, 07 February, and 8.20am on Thursday, 08 February. Internal doors and computers were damaged.

Pensioner dies in County Down road collision
An elderly man has died following an road accident in County Down yesterday. The accident happened on the A1 dual carriageway, at Banbridge. The Citroen car, which the 74-year-old man was driving, was involved in a collision with a lorry. The accident happened shortly before 2pm. The man’s name has yet to be released by police.

Translink is urging women to find out more about a career as a bus driver. The firm is encouraging females to take part in 'Have A Go Days' to increase the numbers of women applying. Translink is currently recruiting for Metro, Glider and Ulsterbus drivers.
