Success Is Bedding Down In Tyrone

Jobs have ben secured in a Co Tyrone firm that is on target to achieve £250,000 worth of new business in Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland following support from Invest Northern Ireland.

Comfizone manufactures mattresses and associated bedding products for the furniture industry across the UK, Republic of Ireland and mainland Europe at its purpose built factory at Washingbay near Coalisland.

The company has achieved steady growth since it was established in 2009 and invested over £180,000 last year towards export development, doubling its sales in the Republic of Ireland as a result.

Invest NI offered Comfizone Ltd £20,200 of support towards its investment which included recruiting a new marketing manager and implementing a focused export marketing strategy.

In the coming months, Comfizone also plans to appoint additional production staff to help meet the increased business activity.

Mary Gormley, Manager of Invest NI's Western Regional Office, said: "Proactively marketing the business to customers outside Northern Ireland has enabled Comfizone to build awareness of its products and services and attract new sales.

"The progress the company has made is extremely encouraging and will help it to achieve its sales objective."

Peter Bradley, Director of Comfizone Ltd, said: "We have been working hard to develop our network of business contacts in key markets and are delighted with the firm's overall performance in recent months. We aim to use our success to date as a platform to help us attract new customers and secure the future growth of the company."
