NI Firm Signs Global 'Mobile Software' Deal

A Portstewart-based company that won the Northern Ireland 'Best Emerging Company' category in the 2010 InterTrade Ireland business competition, has signed a major partnership agreement with Nasdaq-listed Blackbaud.

The firm, Instagiv is teaming up with Blackbaud - a leading global provider of software and services designed specifically for not-for-profit organizations.

The agreement will see Blackbaud using Instagiv's mobile fundraising platform to provide such organisations with an all-in-one solution to handle text giving, integration with social media, regular giving, supporter integration with two-way interactive text communications, and QR code functionality for offline campaigns.

Commenting, Brad Holden, President of International Business with Blackbaud said: "Mobile technology is exploding globally. We have entered into this partnership with Instagiv because we believe that the innovative platform and products which the company has developed are ideally placed to leverage this growth and assist charities to fully embrace mobile into their fundraising and engagement strategies."

Michael Carlin, Managing Director of Instagiv, sees the deal as a major milestone in the development of the company: "We are delighted to have secured this agreement which is not only good news for ourselves but also for Northern Ireland which is now developing quite a reputation across the world as a centre of ICT and software expertise.
