Firms still have a chance to win business ‘Oscar’
Only a few weeks remain for successful businesses to apply for a Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2002, the UK’s highest accolade for outstanding business achievement.
The Enterprise Awards are widely regarded as the ‘Oscars’ of the business world. Any UK-based business unit can enter, as long as it employs at least two people and can demonstrate sustained growth.
Awards are made in three categories, International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development, and cover all aspects from product and service successes, to marketing and managerial initiatives.
The deadline for entries is midnight on 31 October, winners will be announced on the Queen’s birthday on April 21, 2002.
Successful entrants also stand to benefit from extensive publicity and promotional use of The Queen’s Awards Emblem. They are also invited to a reception at Buckingham Palace.

The Dairy Council for Northern Ireland is continuing to support the growth of the agri-food industry by encouraging applications to its 'Farm Smart' grant which supports the MSc in Agri-food Business Development at the University of Ulster.
