Jobs Boost On Way For Lurgan Stationers
A Co Armagh business is to boost the jobs market and create 20 jobs in an investment supported by Invest Northern Ireland.
Enterprise Stationery Ltd, based in Lurgan, manufactures and supplies bespoke filing stationery.
It is investing £646,000 to develop its business over the next three years by expanding its workforce, enhancing its product range and targeting new customers in the UK, Republic of Ireland and mainland Europe.
Invest NI has offered support of £60,000 through its Jobs Fund, which has a budget of £19 million to support the creation of 4,000 jobs by March 2014.
Welcoming the investment Alastair Hamilton, Invest NI’s Chief Executive, said: "Enterprise Stationery is the latest company to benefit from our Jobs Fund which exists to help companies create employment in this difficult economic climate.
"'The company has recognised that long-term viability will be enhanced by diversifying and adding value to its current product range. It is investing in developing an electronic tracking dimension for its stationery products and in an archiving and retrieval service using new technology.
"This will open up many more opportunities for the company to sell to both existing and new customers."
Enterprise Stationery currently employs 88 and holds 40% of the market share in the UK and Ireland for document filing stationery.
Paul O'Neill, Enterprise Stationery's Managing Director, said: "We want to increase our market share by providing a solutions based approach to meet client needs for electronic traceability, whilst providing the traditional filing capability.
"To diversify and develop our product range and marketing activities we need more staff.
"We've been very pleased with the quick and easy process of applying for, and receiving, assistance to create these new jobs through Invest NI's Jobs Fund."

SuperValu To Create 200 Jobs
SuperValu, the independent supermarket network, is to create almost 200 jobs with the opening of two new stores this year. As part of a €20m investment programme new stores will be opened in Celbridge, Co Kildare, and Miltown Malbay. Thirty stores are also to be revamped as part of the programme.

265 New Jobs Announced In Athlone And Galway
A total of 265 new jobs have been announced for Athlone and Galway. In Athlone, DPD Ireland will create 200 new jobs over the next five years, with 70 of the vacancies expected to be filled before Christmas. The new jobs are part of a €13m investment, which will see the company double the size of its sorting facility.
