Coach collides with lorry injuring 13 people

Thirteen people have been injured in a collision involving a lorry and a coach at the Beechhill crossroad near Keady in County Armagh.

The collision took place at around 11.30am on Monday 6 August, with the injured being taken to Craigavon Area hospital suffering from neck and back injuries.

It was also one of the worst weekends for road deaths with three people killed on the province’s roads since Saturday.

A man died following a road traffic collision on the Cloughy Road, Portavogie at around 4.20am on Saturday 4 August. He was killed when the car he was travelling in hit a wall. Two other men in the car were taken to hospital.

Earlier on 4 August a 17-year-old man died in hospital, after a collision on the Old Holywood Road, Belfast. He was the front seat passenger in a Ford Ka car which overturned at around 1.50am. Police say that no other vehicle was involved in the incident.

Police are also investigating a collision on the Shore Road, Belfast at around 9.30pm on Sunday 5 August in which a 16-year-old pedestrian was killed.

Man Killed In Co Antrim Road Collision Named
A man who died in a road collision in Co Antrim has been named as Kamil Gervenka. The crash occurred on the Portglenone Road in Randalstown at around 12.15am on Sunday, 23 October. It is believed he was originally from Slovakia and worked in the area. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
