Dunloe Ewart NI Director set to leave

Dunloe Ewart’s Northern Ireland Director, Barry Gilligan is set to leave the company.

As the company behind the Lanyon Place development on Belfast’s Laganside, Dunloe Ewart revealed the news to shareholders at its AGM in Dublin.

It was also revealed that Managing Director Philip Byrne would be leaving the company at the end of the current year to pursue other business interests.

Speaking at the meeting, Dunloe Ewart chairman, Noel Smyth said: “The successful completion of euro156 million of property disposals approved at the Extraordinary General Meeting in May 2001, which together with development property sales completed in the past seven months brings the total property sales to Euro 197 million.”

Mr Smyth added that the strategy to re-focus the Company’s property portfolio through the sale of certain assets together with an associated reduction in overheads was ongoing.

It is believed that there will be no immediate moves to appoint a successor to Mr Gilligan. (MB)
