Man Arrested After £200,000 Cannabis Find

Cannabis plants worth around £200,000 have been discovered in Belfast.

Police raided a property at Garnerville Grove on Wednesday and seized cultivating equipment and other drugs paraphernalia.

A 47-year-old man has been arrested.

PSNI East Belfast Chief Inspector Mark McEwan said: "This discovery has taken a latge quantity of potentially lethal drugs off our street.

"We remain totally committed to tackling the scourge of illegal drugs and we are working to disrupt the activities of those involved in their sale and supply, limit the amount of misery they are able to inflict on communities and ultimately by putting them behind bars.

"We will continue to address the issues of illegal drug use with the support of the local community."
