Snow Patrol Donate £10K To Sonar Fund
Northern Irish Band Snow Patrol have donated a staggering £10,000 to a fund which will be used to buy sonar equipment.
The fund was launched after 20-year-old Joby Murphy drowned in the River Lagan.
The young man had attended Snow Patrol's concert before embarking on a night out in the Odyssey Arena and later going missing.
After a four-week search of the River Lagan, his body was located by a search team from Cork.
Joby's family are now trying to raise £30,000 for sonar equipment which would help to locate missing bodies.
There is currently only one sonar unit in use for the whole of Ireland.

Dodds announces extra help for “most needy" in society
The Minister for Social Development, Nigel Dodds, has announced a further £1.73 million cash injection for the Northern Ireland Social fund. The increase brings the Social Fund, which helps the most needy people in society up to a total to £51 million for the next year.

Motorists Warned To Take Care Following Heavy Snow Fall In NI
Motorists are being warned to take care on the roads following heavy snow fall in some areas of Northern Ireland. Temperatures plummeted to -1 degrees overnight leaving ice on the roads. A PSNI spokesperson said: "We don't need much snow and ice for our wee country to grind to a halt! "Leave extra time for your journey.
