Four Charged Over Badger Baiting
Four men have been charged in connection with a police operation into badger baiting.The detained men - aged 19, 21 39 and 42 - will face counts of animal cruelty at Newtownards Magistrates' Court on Monday 30 April. Police said it comes after a series of arrests were made on 26 March as part of Operation Meles, the investigation into badger baiting across Northern Ireland. The charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
Heating Oil Stolen From Church
SDLP Moyle District Councillor Dónal Cunningham has condemned the theft of around 200 litres of heating oil from the Holy Trinity Church in The Diamond, Ballycastle. He said: "There have been similar thefts from other local churches. In my view theft from any faith community is sacrilegious as well as criminal. I express my disgust at this incident to the Rev. David Ferguson and his congregation. "There should be no place for this type of activity in Ballycastle. I sincerely hope that those who were involved are caught and shamed before the courts for what they have done."
Three Escape Petrol Bomb Attack
Three women have escaped injury after a petrol bomb attack in Coleraine, County Londonderry. It was thrown through the kitchen window of a house in Cypress Drive shortly after 23:00 BST on Tuesday. There was some scorch damage to the property. The police are appealing for information.

Arrests Made Over Cannabis Find
A man and woman have been arrested after police seized cannabis plants and resin in a house in Rostrevor, Co Down. Seventy cannabis plants and 35kgs of cannabis resin were found during the police search on Monday. Four dogs, believed to have been used for badger baiting, were also taken at from the property. The pair are currently being questioned.

Claims Officer Smashed Car Window Despite Being Offered Keys Rejected
Claims that a police officer smashed a car window despite being offered the keys of the vehicle have been rejected by the Police Ombudsman. The incident happened as police responded to reports of suspicious activity in the early hours of the morning in a forest outside Benburb in August last year.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
