Man Assaulted With Hammers In East Belfast

A man has been assaulted by masked men in Morven Park in east Belfast on Monday night.

The gang were armed with sticks and hammers.

Alliance East Belfast MLA Chris Lyttle has expressed his shock. He said: "I am shocked by the brutality and viciousness of this assault. There can never be any justification for this type of attack.

"If anybody has any information about this assault I would urge them to contact the police."

The victims injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man Seriously Assaulted In East Belfast
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a report of a serious assault in east Belfast in the early hours of Friday, 13 January. A man has been assaulted by three men in east Belfast. The attack happened in the Paxton Street area last Friday, 26 November. The men made off with his wallet which contained a sum of cash. Investigation Launched After Man Assaulted In East Belfast
An investigation has been launched after a man was assaulted in east Belfast. The attack happened in the Dundonald area at around 9.30am on Wednesday, 16 May. The victim, aged in his 50s, is currently receiving hospital treatment after sustaining a head injury and wounds to his abdomen. His condition is not known.
