Community 'Anger' At Newry Bomb
SDLP Newry and Armagh MLA Dominic Bradley has expressed anger at dissidents for planting a fully primed 600lb bomb in his constituency.
Mr Bradley said: "The perpetrators of this bomb have no respect for Irish people or the sanctity of human life.
"It is miraculous that no one passing this monstrosity of a device on The Fathom Line was killed or maimed.
"While we have concerns about the time it took police to clear this area, the fact is that the blame for endangering the lives of our people lies firmly in the hands of dissidents.
"Violence and destruction has held Newry and Armagh back for years. Those responsible for this need to realise that peace and democracy is what people here have voted for and they have absolutely no right to undermine that mandate and the will of our citizens to positively develop this area."
