Last call for Shell Livewire Young Business Awards

There’s just over one week remaining for any would-be entrepreneurs to enter this year’s Shell LiveWIRE Young Business Awards competition.

Livewire celebrates its 21st birthday this year and whilst all finalists will receive a substantial awards package to mark the occasion, the winner drives off with a fully expensed Toyota Corolla Verso for a year, £2000 cash, Shell petrol for a year, loads of publicity and the coveted title of ‘Northern Ireland Young Entrepreneur of the Year’.

The Northern Ireland final is on May 15th in Belfast Castle whilst the UK final takes place in June in the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Mayfair.

To enter you must submit your business plan by March 28th.

Young people who have unlocked their own potential and set up in business were celebrated at last night’s Shell LiveWIRE Young Business Start Up Awards in Belfast Castle. The main award of the evening went to Declan Treacy who launched his www.studentalive.com on-line information and entertainment guide for student’s last year.

CIPR Journalism Awards In Full
Deric Henderson of the Press Association has been awarded the Journalist of the Year title The Belfast Telegraph lifted the title for Coca-Cola CIPR Newspaper of the Year, and the BBC's Spotlight Programme won the Coca-Cola CIPR Scoop of the Year and the Coca-Cola CIPR Current Affairs Programme of the Year for its Irish Robinson Investigation.
