Appeal after Co Armagh robbery
Police have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a petrol station in Co Armagh last night.
At around 8.45pm, two men armed with handguns, and wearing black jackets and black balaclavas, entered the shop of a filling station on the Moy Road, Armagh.
They demanded cash from the assistant before making off with around £200-300.

Weekend Armagh Rape Is Investigated
Police are investigating a Co Armagh rape at the weekend. The woman victim was attacked on Sunday in the early hours of the morning in Armagh City's Cathedral Road area. The PSNI has appealed for information about the attack, which occurred at about 3am on Sunday.

Work On Resurfacing Project To Begin In Portadown
Work on a £140,000 resurfacing scheme for A3 Northway, Portadown, is to start on Monday, 17 October. The resurfacing extends from outside Portadown railway station towards Armagh, taking in the junctions of West Street and Corcrain Road. The scheme is due for completion on Saturday, 29 October.

Kingsmills Families To Press Taoiseach For Apology
Pressure is mounting on Taoiseach Enda Kenny to apologise for the Republic of Ireland's "blatant inaction" over the Kingmills killings. Relatives of ten Protestant workers murdered by the IRA in 1976 are traveling to Dublin today to meet the Irish prime minister.

Northern Ireland’s electricity infrastructure received a boost today with the opening of a new £200million power station at Coolkeeragh, outside Londonderry. The 400 mega-watt combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power station was built as a cross-border partnership between ESB International and Coolkeeragh Power Ltd.

Police have launched an investigation following a suspected armed robbery at a fast food restaurant in Co Antrim. The incident happened at Subway in the Kingsway area in Dunmurry on Sunday. The man, who told workers that he had a knife in his pocket, threatened staff and stole a sum of money from a till.
