Police Ombudsman Appeal For Newry Information
The Police Ombudsman's Office has appealed for information about an incident which happened as police arrested two people in Newcastle, Co Down, last month.
An altercation took place as officers arrested a male and a female in the Railway Street area of the town at about 4pm on 18 May.
Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact the Police Ombudsman's freephone witness appeal line on 0800 032 7880.
Journalist Murder Man Released
A man who was arrested over the murder of a Northern Irish journalist in Dublin at the weekend has been released.
The man, thought to be in his twenties, left Pearse Street Garda Station last night.
One other man remains in custody.
Eugene Moloney, a former Irish News journalist, was found with head injuries in the early hours of Sunday morning and was taken to St James's Hospital, where he died.
Queen's Visit Begins
Queen Elizabeth II has arrived in Northern Ireland for a two-day Diamond Jubilee visit.
Although bad weather delayed her flight, the Queen and Prince Philip have now touched down in Enniskillen and been welcomed by crowds lining the streets.
The couple will attend a service of thanksgiving and other official engagements before meeting Martin McGuinness, Northern Ireland’s Deputy First Minister and a former IRA member.
Tickets were snapped up in a matter of minutes for a Stormont estate garden party tomorrow, which the Queen will be attending.

Attempted Murder Investigation Launched Following Pipe Bomb Find
Police have launched an attempted murder investigation following the discovery of a pipe bomb in north Belfast on Tuesday, 09 August. The "viable device" was found in the North Queen Street area. Police believe it was most likely thrown at a passing PSNI vehicle the night before.
