Power Cut At International Airport

The electricity supply at Belfast City Airport has been restored following a power cut early this morning.

A spokesman said the cut had caused some delays at security gates, which were now having a knock-on effect.

He said systems were now functioning normally and asked passengers to arrive in good time to catch their flights.

Third Meningitis Case

A third meningitis case is being investigated in County Down.

The child with suspected meningitis is a pupil at Patrick's Primary School in Legamaddy, near Downpatrick.

It follows two other cases earlier this week in Our Lady and St Patrick Primary School in Downpatrick.

The children's families have been given antibiotics and letters have been sent out to parents.

Richard Smithson of the Public Health Agency said there was an "extremely low" level of risk to the wider community.

Antrim Coast Golf Resort Hearing Date Set

The court hearing on the National Trust’s challenge to a north coast planning decision will be held on November 27.

An application for a £100m golf resort and spa at Runkerry near the Giant's Causeway has had the backing of Stormont, but the National Trust hope to overturn the decision to let it go ahead.

The charity will argue that the proposed development is too close to the Giant's Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
