Girls escape injury after car driven at them
Two teenage girls have narrowly escaped injury in Belfast last night after a car mounted the pavement on the Stewartstown Road and attempted to run them down.
At around 11pm, the pair, aged 17 and 18, were passing the Greenaway shops when a maroon-coloured Vectra veered towards them. The teenagers dived out of the way and the car sped off in the direction of Poleglass.
The police have said that incidents such as these were part of an "ongoing problem" in the area.
Detectives have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
