Shot Fired At Antrim House
A young family escaped injury after a shot was fired at a house in Ballycraigy in Antrim last night.
A 30-year-old man, a 35-year-old woman and a four-year-old boy were in a house in the Hawthornden area when a shot was fired at the front window.
The incident happened at about 11.50pm yesterday (Tuesday).
Thousands Apply For 14 Derry Jobs
More than two thousand people have applied for 14 jobs at a new shop in Londonderry.
Northern Ireland's second outlet of sofa retail chain DFS will open this month at in the city.
Sinn Fein MLA Maeve McLaughlin said the "staggering" number of applicants highlighted the lack of jobs in Derry.
DFS confirmed that 2,308 people applied for the 14 positions.
Jobs Target At Belfast City Council
Belfast City Council has set itself a target of providing 110 job opportunities before the end of the current financial year.
They are part of the 200 jobs announced in the £150m Investment Programme, launched in February.
A spokeswoman said some existing vacancies would be re-designed to fit the programme, while permanent directly employed posts would reduce dependency on agency workers and temporary staff.
400 council placement, internship and apprenticeship places will also be available in the next 12 months.
