Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery

A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen.

The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.

The man, who was deeply shocked by the incident, was treated in hospital for his injuries.

Police have described the assault on the man as "vicious".

Shortly before midnight, police received a report that a man was found injured in the area of John Street roundabout. Investigation Launches After Masked Men Break Into House In East Belfast
The PSNI have launched an investigation after masked men broke into a house in east Belfast while a woman was inside. The incident occurred in the Manna Grove area at around 7pm on Wednesday, 17 January. Three masked men entered the property through a smashed back door and searched the house while the woman was upstairs.

Two Men Arrested Following Assault In Armagh
Two men have been arrested in connection with an assault in Armagh on Tuesday, 16 January. Shortly after 2.20pm, it was reported to police that a man, aged in his 50s, has been assaulted in a house in the Ballynahone Crescent area. Officers attended and arrested two men, aged 40 and 53, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

Four Charged In Connection With Blake Newland Murder
Four people are due to appear before Ballymena Magistrates' Court charged in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Blake Newland. The Limavady teenager died after being found with serious stab wounds at a house in the town on Friday, 02 February. Detectives investigating the murder, have now charged two men, aged 27 and 29, with murder.
