Lord Maginnis Leaves UUP
Lord Ken Maginnis has announced that he is leaving the Ulster Unionist Party (UUP), after a row over comments he made regarding gay marriage.
Lord Maginnis insisted that he stood by the comments referring to gay marriage as "unnatural and deviant behaviour".
Party leader Mike Nesbitt also believed it was time for him to leave.

A row has broken out in unionism over attitudes to homosexuality. The leader of the Ulster Unionist Party has called an extraordinary meeting of its policy-making body to affirm its position on gay marriage. The move comes after the party tried to distance itself from comments made by peer Lord Maginnis.

The Green Party has welcomed the news of an investment of €165 million (approximately £141m) for the development of new cross-border rail services between Belfast and Dublin. The PEACEPLUS programme involves modernising the service with brand new trains and improving journey times to under two hours.

Green Party Welcomes Decision To Save Promote Learning Disability Service
The Green Party has welcomed the decision by charity & social, Orchardville, to run the Promote Learning Disability Service in Bangor after it was under threat of closure. Although delighted by the news, Councillor McKee said that it was "disgraceful" that day opportunity placements for 52 adults were put under threat.
