Reid takes over as Leader of the House
Former Northern Ireland Secretary of State Dr John Reid has returned to the Cabinet after he was handed Robin Cook's old job as Leader of the House today.
The Leader of the House portfolio became vacant after Robin Cook resigned on March 17 in protest at the launch of the war in Iraq without a second UN resolution. Ben Brown has deputised in the role since.
The reshuffle sees John Reid return to the Cabinet for the first time since he was moved on from the Northern Ireland post in October lasy year - 10 days after devolution was suspended in the province.
After moving on from the NIO last year, Mr Reid took over as Labour Party Chairman - an enforcers role to police troublesome elements in the party and unions.

LCC Issues Warning To Unionists and Loyalists Against Voting For Alliance
The Loyalist Communities Council (LCC) has issued a warning to all "unionists and loyalists against voting for Alliance Party candidates". In a statement the LCC, which involves loyalist paramilitaries, said: "Many unionists think they can retain their unionism yet vote for Alliance candidates. They are sorely mistaken in that belief.

Michaella McCollum's Solicitor Flies To Peru
The solicitor of Michaella McCollum, a 20-year-old Dungannon woman currently being held in Peru on suspicion of drug trafficking, is to fly to Lima to advise her. The 20-year-old County Tyrone native was arrested last week at Jorge Chavez International Airport as she tried to board a flight to Madrid with 19-year-old Melissa Reid, from Scotland.

Peru Suspects In Kidnap Claim
A woman from Dungannon, County Tyrone and a woman from Scotland currently facing drugs smuggling charges in Peru have claimed they were forced at gunpoint to carry £1.5m of cocaine in their luggage. 20-year-old Michaella McCollum Connolly and 19-year-old Melissa Reid were arrested last week before boarding a plane from Lima to Spain.
