40 New Jobs Announced For Mallow

Fine Gael Cork East Deputy, Tom Barry, has welcomed the announcement of 40 new jobs for Mallow saying it will offer a boost for the town and will come as fantastic news for the people in line to fill the positions.

"Mallow had not one but two jobs announcements today which will be warmly welcomed by everyone in the town. Entercoms Incorporated is set to establish its European headquarters in Mallow with the creation of 30 jobs over the next three years. In the retail sector, Boots is to open a new store in the town with 10 jobs to be created.

"These job announcements will ensure that a wide range of skills can be catered for. Entercoms Incorporated is a company that helps others to improve operations, customer satisfaction and profitability and is another addition to the high tech development that is happening in Ireland right now.

"Boots, which has been expanding year on year, is to set up shop in Mallow, giving further opportunities to those hoping to secure work in the retail sector, as well as giving enhanced choice to the people in terms of retail choices.

"We are seeing more and more companies choosing Ireland as their base for European or EMEA headquarters. Entercoms Incorporated's decision to base itself in Mallow is testament to the quality of the workforce, the proximity to Cork city and all that the region has to offer."
