Woman Dies After Car Accident

A 21-year-old woman has died following a car accident in Portadown.

Katherine Kelley, who is from the Portadown area, died in hospital on Sunday after the accident on Saturday morning.

Three men and two women, aged between 18 and 21, were involved in the accident.

Police say the accident involved just one vehicle. A 19-year-old woman and 18-year-old man are still being treated in hospital.

Purses Stole From Cathedral

A number of people have had their purses stolen while attending an event at St Anne’s Cathedral in Belfast.

The purses belonged mostly to pensioners who were taking part in a concert at the cathedral.

The event was part of the Belfast Festival at Queen’s.

The purses were stolen from a hall attached to the church in Donegal Street at some time between 17:00 and 17:45 on Saturday evening.

Woman's Car Hijacked At Gunpoint

A woman has had her car stolen following a hijacking in Craigavon.

Four masked men approached the driver at about 21:00 on Sunday. The group of men ordered her out of her car on the Monbrief East Road near the Drumbeg Roundabout at gunpoint.

They then drove for a short distance before setting fire to it on the road side.

The victim is in her 20s. She was not injured during the incident.

NI Scrabble Player Crowned Champion

A Belfast man has been crowned the 41st national Scrabble champion.

Paul Gallen, 26 from Belfast, beat 43-year-old Olawale Fashina, from Liverpool, in yesterday’s final at in The Cavendish Conference Centre in West London.

The solicitor said he would celebrate with a few drinks after winning the £2,500 cash prize.

Woman Found Unconscious On Co Down Road
A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Investigation Launched Following Fatal Crash In Co Antrim
Police have launched an investigation following a fatal crash in Co Antrim. The collision, between a bus and a car, happened in Randalstown at around 2.45pm on Sunday, 11 February. A 58-year-old woman died as a result of injuries she sustained in the incident. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

81-Year-Old Woman Killed In Road Accident
An 81-year-old woman has died after a road accident in County Antrim. The car she was driving was in collision with a lorry on the A26 Lisnevenagh Road between Antrim and Ballymena at 3.30pm on Wednesday. The road, which was closed for a time following the incident, has since reopened.

Woman killed in car accident is named
Police have released the name of a woman killed in a road traffic accident at the weekend. She was 20-year-old Patricia Bateson from Ballinderry Bridge Road in Coagh, Co Tyrone. Ms Bateson's car was found at the side of the Springhill Road in Magherafelt at about 7am on Saturday.

Appeal Issued To Help Trace Missing Woman Eileen McConville
Police are appealing for information to help trace missing woman Eileen McConville. She was last seen in the Craigavon Hospital area at around 3.15pm on Thursday, 01 February. She is described as being around 5ft 2inches tall and a petite build with long dark brown hair and green eyes.
