Men Arrested Following Stabbing
Two men, aged 22 and 30, have been arrested following the stabbing of a 33-year-old man in County Tyrone.
The incident occurred at a house in Killymoon Street in Cookstown and was reported to police around 22:25 yesterday.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening at this stage.
Detectives have appealed to anyone with information about the attack to contact them.
Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A man has been charged with attempted murder by police in Belfast.
The 22-year-old was arrested in Monagh Grove, west Belfast on Sunday evening.
Police say he has also been charged with several other unspecified offences.
He is expected to appear before magistrates today.
Pensioner Robbed In Her Own Home
An elderly woman has been robbed at her home in the Lisburn Road area.
The woman, thought to be 90, was woken by an intruder in her house at Donnybrook Street in south Belfast early on Monday morning.
The intruder stole two gold rings from her wedding finger and two gold necklaces.
Woman In Labour At L'Derry Court
A woman has gone into labour in a L’Derry courthouse.
The woman had just heard her partner sentenced for driving offences, when an ambulance was called and she was sent to Altnagelvin Hospital.
Michael McColgan, from Seeview Cottages in Glengad, County Donegal, was disqualified from driving for six years and fined £2,000.
McColgan pleaded guilty to the charges, relating to offences which took place both at the weekend and in 2005.
Police responded to a call from members of the public who had seen a drunk man getting into a car in L’Derry on Saturday evening.
They later caught McColgan two miles away after he had crashed into a car on Strand Road. It was then discovered that there was an outstanding bench warrant for his arrest for other driving offences committed in the city seven years ago.

Man arrested after woman dies in collision
A 61-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal road accident in County Down. A woman, believed to be in her 50s, was hit by a vehicle on the Comber Road in Newtownards at about 9.45pm last night. The victim’s name has not yet been released.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man arrested over Electoral Office fraud
A 58-year-old man from Co Tyrone has been arrested and charged following a police investigation into irregularities at an Electoral Office in the west of the province. The man was charged with 30 offences, 17 of which relate to theft and 13 of fake accounting. He will appear before a court in Omagh on November 11.

Woman Found Unconscious On Co Down Road
A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.
