Detectives Quiz Murder Victim's Son
Detectives investigating the murder of a 60-year-old man in County Tyrone are understood to be questioning the victim’s teenage son.
Aloysius Hackett was found dead at his home on Aghindarragh Road in Augher on Friday night. He died after sustaining a gunshot wound.
The 18-year-old is thought to be Mr Hackett's son, Sean.
Mr Hackett was a prominent figure in the local GAA community. A minute's silence was held at Sunday's McKenna Cup match between Tyrone and Derry in Omagh.
Appeal Over Aggravated Burglary
Detectives in Antrim are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in the Corbally Park area on the morning of Saturday 5 January.
Two masked men armed with hammers forced their way into a flat at about 06:20 and assaulted the female resident.
The woman, aged in her 30s, required hospital treatment, but her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact CID in Antrim Police Station on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be given anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Derry FC Legend's Home Attacked
An 82-year-old man and former Derry City FC footballer has been subjected to an attack on his home over the weekend.
Willie Curran, of Beechwood Avenue, escaped injury after stones were thrown at his house by a group of young boys, believed to be aged between 14 and 18.
Mr Campbell lives close to Brandywell Stadium. As a player for Derry City in the 1950s and ‘60s, he now has the reputation of being a local legend.
He told the BBC the attack would not intimidate him from his home.
L'Derry Man Senteced Over Brother Assault
A man from L’Derry has been sentenced to 220 hours of community survive after assaulting his brother.
29-year-old Mark Begley, of Rathlin Drive, left his brother with a broken shoulder in the attack.
Mr Begley’s brother is reported to have told police he experienced a sharp blow to the back of his head, after which he fell and broke his shoulder.
The incident happened in the city centre on 17 March.
Mr Begley admitted being involved in the assault.
But defence barrister Seamus McNeill noted that animosity exists between the two and said his client would argue the assault was the result of a previous incident.
District Judge Barney McElholm said he accepted Mr Begley had not intended to inflict such an injury.

Teen Arrested In Connection With Murder Of Gerard Quinn
A teenager has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 24-year-old man in L'Derry. Gerard Quinn was attacked in the Milldale Crescent area at around 10.25pm on Saturday, 21 May. He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he later died.

Natasha McShane's Attacker Jailed
A 35-year-old man who brutally assaulted Irish student Natasha McShane with a baseball bat in Chicago has been jailed for 90 years. Heriberto Viramontes was sentenced at the city's Cook County Court and was convicted last October.

Movilla Strike Day 10: Parents' Anger
Parents of pupils at a Newtownards high school - that has remained closed for two weeks – have raised concerns about the affect the teachers' strike is having on their children's education. It has now been suggested that some pupils at Movilla High School could receive classes elsewhere, as the industrial action looks set to enter its third week.

Ards School Dispute Rumbles On
An industrial dispute rumbled on today at a Co Down school, which has been closed for most of the week. Talks are set to continue at the Labour Relations Agency between both sides in the Movilla High School strike today. Teachers at the Newtownards school have been on the picket line since Monday.

Movilla School Strike - Talks To Begin
The Labour Relations Agency is to hold talks between the Education Board and teachers on strike at a Newtownards high school. Teaching staff at Movilla High School walked out on Monday. Some members of staff had refused to teach a child who allegedly assaulted one of their colleagues.
