Belfast firm secures half a million pound IT deal

A Belfast-based IT company has secured a half a million pound contract with an English county council thanks to its own integrated IT solutions system.

Consilium Technologies’ flagship product, TASK Contractor has been selected by the property division of Derbyshire County Council in a contract worth over £580,000.

Commenting on the deal, Michael Allsop, Partnership & Business Manager, Derbyshire County Council said: “A key factor in our selection of the TASK solution was its proven track record in the local government market. We also liked its approach to providing an integrated solution which addressed the full range of our requirements in one suite."

Peter McHugh, Business Development Director, Consilium Technologies added: “This is our most significant contract which a County Council Property Services division as it encompasses the full suite of TASK Contractor modules. In the last two years we have been actively expanding the functionality of our system, adding features to cater for mobile and web-based working.

"This is particularly useful for counties like Derbyshire who need a modern system to support there working with a wide range of internal and external customers and clients."

The Property Division of Derbyshire County Council includes four Direct Service Organisations (Building Construction, Building and Engineering Maintenance, Grounds Maintenance and Building Cleaning) as well as Design and Land & Property Management Division's.

It is accountable for all property matters of the Council with a combined turnover of over £25 million.
