Minister Launches Management And Leadership Development Programme
Employment and Learning Minister, Dr Stephen Farry has launched an enhanced Management and Leadership Development Programme (MLDP).
The Department's MLDP is a suite of individual training interventions and courses aimed at developing leadership and management competency in Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (SME’s) and Social Economy Enterprises.
Encouraging SME's to embrace management and leadership training, the Minister said: "I am very aware of the need for Northern Ireland companies to nurture their managers and leaders. My Department’s Skills Strategy spells out the ambition for Northern Ireland to be a leader in developing and deploying management and leadership capabilities fit for 21st Century challenges. As improved management and leadership skills are proven worldwide to be a highly effective way for companies to gain competitive edge, it is vital that Northern Ireland SME's invest now in order to support our local economy."
There are 23 initiatives offered through the MLDP Programme including the management skills training course entitled 'Lead Like an Owner'.
