St George's Market is to host a family fun weekend on Saturday February 23rd and Sunday February 24th.

There will be free face painting for all children – and adults too – and stilt walkers from the Premiere Circus will be mingling with customers throughout both days.

There also will be a prize draw for a bumper hamper, containing donated by the Market traders. Entry to the draw will be free with every purchase made from any stall over the course of the weekend.

The fun day has been organised by the traders as part of their ongoing support for the Backin' Belfast campaign.

St George's Market opens from 9am – 3pm on Saturday and 10am – 4pm on Sunday.

Meanwhile, visitors to Smithfield Market will be able to enjoy getting close to nature, with a petting zoo open from 11am – 4pm on both Friday and Saturday. There also will be free face painting and 'crazy characters' on Saturday afternoon.
