Recycling Company Cerebrates Dubai Deal

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has congratulated Dungannon based recycling machinery company Kiverco on securing a £1million order in Dubai following support from Invest Northern Ireland.

The Minister made the announcement during a three day Invest NI trade and business mission in Dubai.

Kiverco manufactures a wide range of equipment for use in the waste processing & recycling industries and is continually evolving its product offering to meet the changing environmental recycling measures across a range of export markets.

Arlene Foster said: "Kiverco is an innovative, forward thinking business which is demonstrating a clear commitment to seek out and exploit developing opportunities outside Northern Ireland. The company is progressing very well in its objective to gain new export sales."

Kiverco is currently undertaking a £600,000 expansion aimed at boosting its export sales. Ten new jobs will also be created over the coming months to accommodate the firm’s increased business activity. Invest NI has offered Kiverco £60,000 to support the implementation of its market development strategy and the recruitment of an Export Sales and Marketing Manager. Invest NI’s support is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

Arlene Foster continued: "Recruiting a dedicated Marketing Manager and additional productive staff will support Kiverco’s continued growth in its target markets.

"Kiverco’s success demonstrates the business potential which exists for our local companies across a range of sectors in Dubai and coincides with a successful visit to Gulfood. With Invest NI’s comprehensive programme of activities in place, there are greater opportunities than ever to expand business in global markets."

Aidan McKiver, founder and Managing Director of Kiverco Limited, said: "Winning these contracts demonstrates the effectiveness of our products against international competition and we are in the process of taking on more staff throughout our business to fulfil the work load we now currently have. Invest NI’s support will be essential to enhancing our marketing capabilities and building on our export successes to date."
