Augentius Fund Administration Exceeds Growth Targets

Invest Northern Ireland Chief Executive Alastair Hamilton has congratulated Augentius Fund Administration on exceeding growth targets by recruiting its 50th employee in their new Belfast operation.

Established in 2003 with offices in London and Guernsey, Augentius provides outsourced fund accounting and administration services to global investment funds, specialising in the private equity and real estate sectors. It has expanded rapidly in recent years with new offices in New York, Singapore, Luxembourg and Mauritius. In 2012, plans were announced to create 164 jobs in Belfast over a 5 year period, with support from Invest NI.

Visiting the company premises in Belfast, Mr Hamilton said: "Last year, news that Belfast had become the latest global location to be chosen by Augentius was welcomed as an endorsement of the local talent and a demonstration of confidence in our growing financial services sector.

"In less than a year, Augentius has recruited almost a third of its workforce and due to continued growth in key markets, is continuing to actively recruit for junior and part qualified accountants. It is a strong endorsement of the skills base and academic infrastructure in Northern Ireland which I hope encourages other financial services firms to look more closely at this region as an investment location."
