Annett Reappointed Chair Of The NI Biodiversity Group
Environment Minister, Alex Attwood, has announced the reappointment of Judith Annett as Chair of the Northern Ireland Biodiversity Group for a further three years.
Ms Annett was first appointed as chair in February 2010 and has been involved in biodiversity issues throughout Northern Ireland.
The Minister said: "The Northern Ireland Biodiversity Group is a non-statutory body whose main role has been to monitor progress in meeting the Northern Ireland Biodiversity Strategy.
"I am delighted that Judith has agreed to a second term as Chair particularly as I want to develop the role of the Northern Ireland Biodiversity Group to further complement and support my Department's priorities and objectives to help halt the loss of biodiversity."
