Blue Zinc's New Premises Opens
Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has officially opened Blue Zinc Ltd's new premises and congratulated the company on its 10th anniversary of trading.
The new premises on the Castlereagh Road in Belfast mark the next step in the development of Blue Zinc, which has grown steadily since it was set up in 2003.
The company specialises in practice management software for private medical clinics, hospitals and businesses, and its flagship product, TM2, is used by some 1000 clinical practices worldwide.
Officially opening Blue Zinc's offices, the Minister said: "This is an opportunity to celebrate not just the opening of these new premises but also 10 successful years in business. Moreover, it is a chance to take stock of Blue Zinc's achievement to date and to look ahead to its further development, which includes more new staff this year and a continuing focus on strengthening its profile in key overseas markets.
"Blue Zinc is one of the many successful indigenous IT companies that we have here in Northern Ireland, that are benefitting from the stream of high quality graduates coming out of our universities. The company is providing excellent employment opportunities and contributing to the growth of the important ICT sector, one of the drivers of our economy.
"Blue Zinc is an innovative and ambitious company that has identified a niche market within the software sector and has developed a core product with global potential. In developing its product portfolio and marketing strategy I know that the company has been supported by Invest Northern Ireland, and continues to avail of the range of support available."

A new support package for businesses affected by flooding has been announced by Economy Minister Conor Murphy. The Enhanced Flood Support Scheme will provide further support to businesses that were directly flooded following the severe weather in late October and early November.
