30 New Jobs Announced For Pharmalink Consulting

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has announced that Pharmalink Consulting Operations Limited is expanding in Belfast, creating 30 new jobs.

The global group, which established its Belfast office last year, provides consultancy and regulatory affairs services for a range of health care industries including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotechnology and consumer healthcare.

Invest Northern Ireland has offered Pharmalink £90,000 under its Jobs Fund to support the recruitment of 30 new regulatory affairs consultants over the next three years. The positions will be targeted at Life Sciences graduates from Northern Ireland’s Universities.

Welcoming the expansion, Arlene Foster said: "Pharmalink operates in a niche area characterised by knowledge-based activities and high levels of productivity. This international business has achieved steady growth in recent years and its expansion in Belfast signals Pharmalink’s confidence in the availability of a high-quality skilled workforce here in Northern Ireland.

"Life Sciences is a strategic sector in Northern Ireland and this investment will make an important contribution to rebalancing our economy. Invest NI’s support through Jobs Fund gives Pharmalink the scope to recruit its new staff quickly, in order to capitalise on new export opportunities, particularly in the United States."
