MicksGarage.com To Create 65 New Jobs

Fine Gael Dublin South Central TD, Catherine Byrne, has welcomed the announcement by the Irish car parts and accessories e-commerce retailer MicksGarage.com that it is to create 65 new jobs at Park West, through a €2.3 million investment in the business.

"This is very encouraging news form MicksGarage.com. The opening of its new 32,000 sq-foot warehouse and office facility in Park West is proof that it is committed to the area for the long-term. The business is investing €2.3 million in a major expansion plan, which will lead to the creation of 65 new jobs over the next two years.

"The company has attracted a number of high profile backers, including Ulster Bank Diageo Venture Fund and AIB. The company, which sells car parts and accessories online, is planning to launch a number of new websites across Europe."

120 new jobs are to be created at Eastpoint Business Park in Dublin. The jobs, which are being created by Coupa Software, will come on stream across the coming three to five years and will be in areas such as marketing, finance, technical account management and tech support.

265 New Jobs Announced In Athlone And Galway
A total of 265 new jobs have been announced for Athlone and Galway. In Athlone, DPD Ireland will create 200 new jobs over the next five years, with 70 of the vacancies expected to be filled before Christmas. The new jobs are part of a €13m investment, which will see the company double the size of its sorting facility.
