Boy Attacked In Sectarian Hate Crime

A 16-year-old boy has been attacked in a hotel car park in Templepatrick, County Antrim.

The police are reported to be treating the attack as a sectarian hate crime.

The boy received a fractured cheek bone and had two teeth knocked out by the gang of four men that attacked him.

Alliance Antrim Councillor Alan Lawther said: "I am sickened by this sectarian attack. There should be no place in our society for such an incident.

"This was a vicious assault carried out by callous individuals who have no regards for the well-being of others."

Men Arrested After Court Appearance

Three men have been arrested following an appearance at Craigavon Magistrates' Court.

The men, aged 48, 43 and 43 are being questioned at Antrim Serious Crime Suite.

They are currently on remand at Maghaberry prison.

Postman Attacked By Dog

A postman has been attacked by a dog in the Kennedy Square area of Downpatrick, Co. Down.

Royal Mail says it will not be delivering post to residents following the incident.

The incident happened as the postman was delivering mail on Friday, 21 June.

Woman Sentenced Over Benefit Fraud

A woman has been given a 15-month prison sentence suspended for two years for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.

54-year-old Mary Ward of Bearna Park, Killeavy, claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £52,218 while failing to declare capital.

She is required to repay any outstanding money she wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.

Man And Woman Attacked In Ballymena
A man and woman are being treated in hospital after being assaulted by masked men in County Antrim. A group of masked men forced their way into a house on the Ballybogey Road in Ballymena in the early hours of Tuesday morning. A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is being questioned by the police.

Police Appeal After Man Attacked In Co Antrim
Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked in Ballymena, Co Antrim. The assault happened in the North Road area at around 3.30am on Sunday, 29 January. A gang of four or five men attacked the victim, aged 37. He was taken to hospital where his condition has been described as "serious".

Man Attacked During Aggravated Burglary In South Belfast
A number of masked men attacked a 24-year-old man during an aggravated burglary in south Belfast. The assault happened at a property in the Malfin Drive area at around 10.10pm on Wednesday, 07 September. One man has been arrested and is being questioned at Musgrave Police Station. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Two Men Attacked In L'Derry
Two men have been attacked in L'Derry. It occurred in the Ballymagroarty area at around 8pm on Thursday. The victims, aged 25 and 26, were shot in the legs and are currently in hospital. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

East Belfast Postman Robbed Of Mailbag
As detectives in east Belfast yesterday appealed for information after a postman was attacked, two local politicians have slammed the incident. A PSNI statement said they were probing the assault and robbery close to commercial premises at the Bloomfield Avenue area on Thursday. The PSNI said that it took place shortly before 10.
