NI Firms To Join Silicon Valley Trade Mission
Up to 20 Northern Ireland firms are to take part in a trade mission to Silicon Valley this October, following an announcement by Belfast City Council.
The Council, in partnership with Invest Northern Ireland, has announced the Belfast Tech Mission will be led by Lord Mayor Máirtin Ó Muilleoir.
It will enable local companies to showcase new technologies and products being developed in Belfast on the west coast of America.
The Council hopes the mission will increase the number of Belfast technology companies selling and doing business in the US and forge business networks across the pond.
The four day programme will support up to 20 companies specifically from the technology and digital media sectors, with the aim of allowing them to network with other businesses in Silicon Valley and San Francisco.
Financial support of up to 50 per cent of travel and accommodation costs will be made available to the selected companies.
