Call For Thugs Who Attempted To Rob A Pensioner To Be Put Behind Bars
East Belfast DUP MLA and member of the Policing Board Robin Newton has described those who attempted to rob the 83 year old Ballybeen pensioner as heartless thieves.
Mr Newton said: "The thugs who attempted to deceive and rob this 83 year old lady deserve the strongest possible condemnation from the entire community. It is shocking and shameful that young men would attempt to carry out a robbery against an elderly and vulnerable woman. I am appealing to the local community to help put these criminals behind bars by co-operating with the police on the matter."
