Man Robs Shop In South Belfast
A man armed with a knife robbed a shop in south Belfast on Wednesday at around 8.30pm.
The robber entered the shop on the Ormeau Road and threatened a member of staff.
He made off with a sum of money and it is believed he got into a maroon coloured car.
The worker was badly shaken, but was not injured in the incident.
The man was described as being approximately 6 ft tall, skinny build and in his mid 20s. He was wearing a grey hoodie and black tracksuit bottoms.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Businesses Damaged By Blaze In Portstewart
An investigation has launched after a number of businesses were damaged by a blaze in The Diamond in Portstewart. The alarm was raised at 5am on Monday, however fire crews were called back at around 9.30am. A chip shop, coffee shop and hairdressers were damaged as a result. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

A man, armed with a suspected firearm, has robbed a shop in south Belfast. The incident happened at commercial premises on the Lisburn Road at around 10.30pm on Tuesday, 23 January. The man threatened a staff member and a customer and made off with a sum of cash.

A female shop assistant has been threatened with a meat cleaver during a robbery in west Belfast. A man carrying a cleaver entered an off-licence on the Springfield Road at about 4pm on Tuesday and demanded cash from the till - escaping with an undisclosed sum of money. The woman was unhurt but said to be badly shaken.
