O'Neill Affirms Support For LGB&T Community
Agriculture Minister Michelle O'Neill has met with representatives from the Rainbow Project to discuss how her department can address the needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
The Rainbow Project is the largest LGB&T organisation in Northern Ireland.
Speaking after the meeting Minister O'Neill said: "This was a very positive meeting which provided a good opportunity to discuss how my Department can continue to raise awareness of LGB&T networks and support services and address their concerns especially in relation to those living and working in rural areas."
The Minister added: "I would take this opportunity to reaffirm my commitment to equality and my officials will continue to work closely with the Rainbow Project in taking forward key issues relevant to the LGB&T sector."

QUB Questioned Over Conversion Therapy Practice
An organisation supporting the health and wellbeing of the LGBT community has said Queen's University Belfast's "regret" over the use of gay conversion therapies is "not enough". The university's involvement in the practice came to light in a report by BBC NI, which included revelations of electric shock 'treatments' being used during the 1960s.
