SCL Exhausts Secures Business In The Far East

Dungannon-based company, SCL Exhausts, has secured its first ever business supplying large generator exhausts systems to the Far East following a range of assistance from Invest Northern Ireland.

The company manufactures quality exhaust systems for the industrial, off‐road and commercial sectors. It has received a range of support from Invest NI including help with its growth plans and identifying new markets, and has secured this business in the Far East following a visit set up by the agency.

To date, Invest NI has offered the business over £100,000 to support its export sales and marketing activities, recruitment and improvements to its IT systems. Seven new jobs, including a new production and office manager, have already been created and there are plans to recruit a further seven staff over the next 12 months.

Stephen Donnelly, Managing Director of SCL Exhausts said: "We have experienced a steady increase in sales since our establishment two years ago and recently relocated to a 7,500 sq. ft workshop on the Killyman Road to facilitate our growing order book. Winning this deal in the Far East marks a significant breakthrough for us.

"The support offered by Invest NI and the Dungannon Enterprise Centre has been a significant component to this growth, particularly the valuable advice and information we received on managing and recruiting staff and exploring business leads in new export markets. A lot of our success has been down to the drive and hard work of our staff and the investments we are making to enhance our workforce will help us build up a stronger customer base in our target markets."
