Alliance Party Bomb Alert Ends
A security alert at the Alliance Party offices in east Belfast today has been confirmed as a hoax.
The Upper Newtownards Road was closed between the Beersbridge Road and Grampian Avenue, but has since reopened.
Army bomb experts carried out a controlled explosion on a suspicious object that had been discovered in a bin close to the party offices.
An alert at Donegall Park in south Belfast was also a hoax, according to the PSNI.
Another bomb alert overnight in north Belfast was had forced residents to evacuate their homes in the Ballysillan area. They were told they could return home at 05:00 this morning.

Residents have been forced to evacuate their homes in north Belfast following a report of a suspicious object in the area. The homes in Clifton Crescent were evacuated after the report of an object in the area on Monday afternoon. An army bomb squad has been tasked to the scene and the area has been closed to traffic.

Viable Device Found In Co Tyrone
A viable device has been found following a security alert near Strabane, County Tyrone. A device was found on Ballyheather Road on Tuesday. The road has now been re-opened between the junctions of the Lisdivin Road and Clogher Road. Police and army bomb experts attended the scene.

Residents Return To Homes After Security Alert In North Belfast Ends
Residents have returned to their homes following a security alert in north Belfast. A suspicious object was discovered at the junction of North Queen Street and Brougham Street on Tuesday, however it was found to be 'nothing untoward'. Army bomb experts examined the object on Tuesday evening.

'Small Bomb' Found During Security Alert
Army bomb experts have been called to examine an explosive device found at an apartment block in east Belfast. Police said that a number of residents were evacuated from the apartments in the Short Strand Road area at about 20:00 on Tuesday night. They described the device as a "small bomb". No further details have been released.

Security Alert Ends In West Belfast
A security alert in west Belfast has ended after nothing untoward was found. Army bomb experts were called to St Mary's Gardens in the Beechmount area around 9.30pm on Thursday night to examine a car. Some 100 homes were evacuated during the alert, with residents being moved to a nearby community centre.
