Funding Secure For Co Down Performing Arts Centre

Funding has been secured for a proposed performing arts and technology centre in Bangor, Co Down.

Plans for the facility, to be built opposite the South Eastern Regional College campus, were shelved in 2010, but Employment and Learning Minister Stephen Farry has now announced that the £12 million funding has been secured.

The new centre will house a theatre and rehearsal and production studios alongside teaching facilities for technology students.

Contruction of the new centre is expected to be completed by 2015.
