Bomb Squad Called In L'Derry
The army bomb squad has been called to the scene of a police search in L'Derry following reports of suspicious activity.
The operation began at Buncrana Road on Wednesday morning.
The road was closed for a time between Skeoge Road and the Templemore Sports Complex, but has since re-opened.
Antrim Security Alert Called Off
A suspicious package that caused a security alert in County Antrim yesterday evening has been declared as 'nothing untoward' by police.
The Antrim Road in Templepatrick was closed after the object was found in a filling station.
Army bomb experts attended the scene and examined the device.
Armed Robbery In Belfast Centre
A man has been injured during an armed robbery in Belfast city centre.
Two men, one armed with a knife and the other with a baton, went into a business premises on Donegall Street on Tuesday shortly after 5pm.
The man, who was working at the premises at the time, was assaulted, causing a minor injury.
The two men then made off in a car towards the Talbot Street area with a sum of money.
Pair Convicted Of Benefit Fraud
Two people have been convicted at Belfast Magistrates' Court for claiming benefits they were not entitled to.
Claire Fullerton, 32, of Trainfield Street, Belfast claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £925 while failing to declare employment. She was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay court costs of £43.
Samuel McManus, 39, of Henderson Avenue, Belfast was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay court costs of £44 for wrongful encashment of Income Support totalling £162.
Both are also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.

Londonderry is facing major disruption today as a series of security alerts are dealt with. Just hours after the local MP and Stormont Deputy First Minister, Martin McGuinness, arrived home from a high profile US visit over the Saint Patrick's Day holiday, the Real IRA are being blamed for three ongoing security alerts in the walled city.

Daniel Murray Murder: Police Appeal For Information
Police are appealing for information following the murder of Daniel Murray. Mr Murray, a delivery driver, aged 55, was shot in his car in the Lady Street area of west Belfast on Monday, 09 May. He was driving a black Ford Focus, vehicle registration number PCZ 8770, and was shot shortly before 10.20pm.
