Pipe Bomb Attack In Co Down

Police have responded to a pipe bomb attack on a house in Shrigley, County Down.

The report was made following an explosion in the Martin Green area of the village at about 02:00.

Army bomb experts found a device that had partly exploded.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

Drugs Seized From N Belfast house

Suspected class A and B drugs have been seized from a house at Cliftondene Park in north Belfast on Wednesday.

Police discovered suspected ecstasy, cannabis, cocaine and heroin with an approximate value of £8,000, and a sum of cash.

A man in his 20s is to be interviewed in relation to the find.

Men Arrested Over Illegal Carpark

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of operating an illegal car park in south Belfast.

The park was displaying an NCP sign at the site on Stewart Street, despite its not being run by National Car Parks.

The men, aged 29, 30 and 51, were detained in the Markets area on Thursday morning and are being questioned at Musgrave police station.

Men Questioned Over Distraction Burglaries

Two men have been questioned by police in connection with a streak of distraction burglaries in Belfast.

The men, aged 20 and 49, were arrested on Tuesday following an incident in the Somerdale Park area of north Belfast that evening.

The arrest follows a recent warning by the PSNI of numerous 'bogus' callers and distraction burglaries across the city in recent weeks.

Two Men Arrested Over Murder Of Brian McIlhagga Released
Two men arrested over the murder of Brian McIlhagga have been released. Mr McIlhagga, 42, was shot and beaten by a gang after he was dragged from a house in the Riverview Park area in Ballymoney in January 2015. A woman who was also in the house at the time was also attacked. Four children were also in the property.

Investigation Launched After Burglars Steal Cash And Medication In L'Derry
An investigation has been launched after burglars stole medication from a house in Co L'Derry. The incident happened in the Galliagh Park area just after 1am on Tuesday, 01 May. The occupant was threatened at knifepoint and the suspects made off with cash and medication.

Three Arrested Over Machete Robbery
A man has robbed a cash in transit van with a machette in north Belfast. It happened on the Old Park Road at about lunchtime on Monday. Three men aged 24, 44, and 51 have been arrested. A sum of money has been recovered.

Six Arrested In Dissident Investigation
Six people have been arrested by detectives investigating dissident republican activity. The arrests were made on Tuesday in the Dunmurry and west Belfast area following a number of searches. Police said five men, aged between 31 and 58, and a 32-year-old woman had been arrested.

Two Men Arrested On Suspicion Of Kidnapping
Police have arrested two men on suspicion of kidnapping. The males, aged 33 and 31, were detained in Co L'Derry. It is believed there arrests are in connection with an incident in the city on Thursday, 26 October. No further details have been released.
