Police Shot At In West Belfast
The PSNI has appealed for community support following a gun attack on a police patrol in west Belfast on Friday night.
A police landrover was struck twice as it travelled along Suffolk Road at around 23:45 on 6 December.
District Commander Chief Superintendent George Clarke said: "For the second night in a row, dedicated community police officers have found themselves under attack from terrorists.
"It is fortunate that we are not dealing with fatalities this morning and those responsible are to be utterly condemned for their evil and reckless actions.
"These officers go out each day to serve this community and they should be free to do so without the threat of attack. I know that this incident will not deter them or their colleagues from continuing with that work, helping people and making society safer.
"I again urge the community to support us. Help us defeat those who seek to bring us back to the past by showing them that they do not represent the wishes of this community."

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
