Man Found With Head Injuries Dies
A man has died after being found with severe head injuries in a village in County L'Derry.
The 52-year-old was found on Main Street Park near Claudy in the early hours of Sunday.
The PSNI has said it does not suspect a crime, but the circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated.
Engagement Ring Stolen In Portadown Crime Spree
An engagement ring has been stolen in burglary in Portadown, thought to be the third on the same day by the same four men.
All three burglaries were carried out in the town last Wednesday, detectives have said.
The latest incident linked to the gang occurred some time between 16:.45 and 21:40 at Canvy Manor.
Other jewellery was taken, including a gold chain and matching bracelet, a gold ring with diamonds and a Pandora bracelet.
Van Driver Thrown To Ground In W Belfast
The driver of a van has been stopped by two masked men and forced to the ground in west Belfast.
The men then stole the vehicle along with a sum of money, which was inside.
The incident happened in the Ladymar Walk area at about 08:40 on Wednesday.
The two men drove the van in the direction of the Cullingtree Road. It was then found in the Jude Street area some time later and has been removed by police for forensic examination.
The driver was uninjured, but badly shaken.
Two Convicted Of Benefit Fraud
Two people were convicted at Belfast Magistrates' court yesterday for claiming benefits they were not entitled to.
James Dunn, 48, of Squires View, Belfast claimed Housing Benefit totalling £13,943 while failing to declare he was residing with a housing benefit customer. He was given a five months suspended sentence for two years and ordered to pay court costs of £25.
Sharon Lucas/Dunn, 44, of Squires View, Belfast claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £8,665 while failing to declare employment. She was given a five months imprisonment, suspended for two years and ordered to pay court costs of £49.
Both are also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.

James Logue (45) of Main Street, Castlederg was convicted at Strabane Magistrates' court after he claimed Housing Benefit totalling £2,057 by making a false statement of occupation.
