Mivan To Cease Trading
Construction company Mivan has announced that is to cease trading.
The Antrim-based firm was placed in administration earlier this month, with 98 of its 289 employees being made redundant.
An additional 144 redundancies were announced today.
It is understood that some staff will be retained to assist administrators finalise remaining contracts.
The company had been in talks with Lagan Group Holdings over a possible takeover deal, but they ended without agreement.

NI textile industry hit by further job cuts
Northern Ireland's textile industry was dealt a further blow today when hosiery firm, Adria, announced it is to make 58 workers redundant. The company, which employs 870 people at its plants in Strabane and Campsie, said it was forced to take the decision in order to reduce overheads and protect the competitiveness of the business.

Northern Ireland's transport unions have agreed to re-enter discussions with Translink management, after the rejection of a pay offer. GMB, SIPTU and Unite announced last week that a "decisive majority" of their members had voted to reject a 5% pay offer and one-off payment of £1,500.
