Met Office Issues Yellow Weather Warning For NI

A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for Northern Ireland.

A small number of schools were forced to close in County L'Derry, Tobermore, Draperstown and Maghera following heavy snowfalls.

The PSNI are urging motorists to be very cautious on the roads.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain across Northern Ireland, with heavy and persistent rainfall expected to bring the risk of flooding and travel disruption through to late Friday night. The warning covers all counties across Northern Ireland, including Antrim, Armagh, Down, Londonderry and Tyrone.

A yellow weather warning has been issued has been issued for Northern Ireland this weekend. The warning issued by the Met Office for heavy rainfall is in place from midnight on Saturday until 12pm on Sunday, October 19. Flooding of homes and businesses is likely and bus and train services may be affected as well as spray and flooding on roads.

Yellow Weather Warning For Wind Issued In NI
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds in Northern Ireland on Friday morning. The warning has been put in place from 6am until 10 am and gusts are expected to be between 45 to 55 mph. Some delays to road, rail, air and transport are likely and some bus and train services may be affected.
